Carolina’s aesthetic is heavily inspired by the most prolific European goldsmith masters like Cellini, Faberge, Lalique, as well as other contemporary art designers.

Her use of clean, geometric lines contradicts the organic and natural shapes she hand crafts, creating a dynamic dialogue between biotic form and structural design.

Her work is raw yet finished, using silver and gold that are hand welded and polished for the final ready-to-wear piece. Her palette consists of natural hues with moments of bursting color and precious stones, created to spark curiosity, in a futuristic yet primal manner.

Always the materials, stones, seeds, natural woods and the shapes of the elements lead her to build the Sculpture objects from melting the metal, making the sheet and wire, from here she departs to incorporate all these elements that inspired her in many travels through the Americas, discovering the mix of cultures, closeness to nature, colors, lights, and movements,  creating a broader vision and achieving a unique size synthesis, almost jewels, almost toys, amalgamating architectural symbols and its irony with art… now she enters into her ludic world!

La estética de Carolina está fuertemente inspirada en los maestros orfebres europeos más prolíficos como Cellini, Fabergé, Lalique, así como en otros diseñadores de arte contemporáneo.

Su uso de líneas geométricas limpias contradice las formas orgánicas y naturales que hace a mano, creando un diálogo dinámico entre la forma organica y el diseño estructural.

Su trabajo es crudo y al mismo tiempo terminado usando plata y oro que se sueldan a mano y se pulen, dando asi un acabado final. Su paleta consiste en tonos naturales con momentos de color explosivo y piedras preciosas, creadas para despertar la curiosidad, de una manera futurista pero primitiva al mismo tiempo.

Siempre los materiales, piedras, semillas, maderas naturales y las formas de los elementos la llevan a construir los objetos de la Escultura a partir de fundir el metal, hacer la chapa y el alambre, de aquí parte para incorporar todos estos elementos que la inspiraron en muchos viajes por América, descubriendo la mezcla de culturas, cercanía a la naturaleza, colores, luces y movimientos, creando una visión más amplia y logrando una síntesis de tamaño único, casi joyas, casi juguetes, amalgamando símbolos arquitectónicos y su ironía con el arte … ahora ella entra en su mundo lúdico!

Carolina Vila was born in Vicente Lopez – a place located in the suburbs of Buenos Aires-, at the age of sixteen attended various artist studios, pintura with Carlos Gorriarena and Roberto Paez, Miguel Vidal, drawing with Alicia Milani, engraving with Hilda Sanchez, studied history of art with Martha Zatonyi.

Began the National School of Arts, along with art practices at the Estímulo de Bellas Artes,  starting at the same time her first gold work’s atelier designing jewelry, art objects in silver and gold and participating in numerous art expositions.

In Buenos Aires City, she joined the famous collective art experience Hombre Nuevo at the Bond Street Galleries and the Plaza Francia art shows until the experience concludes.

Started with other artists the art group named Taller Bulnes, where after nine years of creative work she earned an extensive mastering in jewelry art working with gems, corals, ivory, ebony, witreauxs, fossils, in a unifying composition with precious metals.

Named art consultant for many antiquarians, become an referential parameter for the art restoration work in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Carolina Vila nació en Vicente López -localidad ubicada en las afueras de Buenos Aires-a los dieciséis años asistió a diversos estudios de artistas: pintura con Carlos Gorriarena y Roberto Paez, Miguel Vidal, dibujo con Alicia Milani, grabado con Hilda Sánchez, estudió historia del arte con Martha Zatonyi.

Inició la Escuela Nacional de Artes, y al mismo tiempo realizó prácticas artísticas en los talleres de Estímulo de Bellas Artes y comenzando al mismo tiempo su primer taller de orfebrería diseñando joyas, objetos de arte en plata y oro y participando en numerosas exposiciones de arte.

En Buenos Aires, Se unió a la famosa experiencia colectiva de arte Hombre Nuevo en las exposiciones de la Galería Bond Street y Plaza Francia hasta concluir la experiencia.

Comenzó junto a otros artistas el grupo de arte llamado Taller Bulnes, donde después de nueve años de trabajo creativo obtuvo una amplia maestría en el arte de la joyería trabajando con gemas, corales, marfil, ébano, vitrales, fósiles, en una composición unificadora con metales preciosos.

Ha sido consultora de arte designada por muchos anticuarios, se convirtió en un parámetro de referencia para la obra de restauración de arte en Buenos Aires, Argentina.
